Institutions are the framework consisting of legal structures, customary rules, property rights, implicit or explicit contracts, and governance systems in which economic actorsinteract and factors of production are employed. The main objective of the book is to understand and assess the potential of agriculture and allied activities such as animal husbandry, dairying and fisheries towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the role of institutional transformations in promotion of efficiency, inclusiveness and sustainability of agricultural growth.
